Rated 4 out of 5 by t00dlessara_5584 from Nostalgia in a Pen So this is just pure nostalgia in a pen. As a millennial, my heart skips a beat just holding a gel pen, let alone a…metallic gel pen. Needless to say this is a great pen to write cute notes and use for crafts. I could see this writing well over dark paper. I personally offer one of these pens for students to use for their “show work” in school. Kids get excited just like I used to do AND it gets them back on task when they don’t want to write. Only downside with the metallic pens is they can get a little streaky with the wrong amount of pressure or if a piece of something gets lodged somewhere at the tip. Overall a great pen to have on the desk.

The comfortable wrapped ergonomic grip makes the pens easy to hold, smooth to write with. The ink flow is exceptionally smooth, and I didn't have any smudging. These dry quickly and do not smear. I felt that the pens are a true medium thickness when writing. All of them came with the little stopper on the point, so they don't dry out too soon. The colors are vibrant and beautiful and have a slight shimmer to them. They shine on both light and dark paper. The silver is most outstanding. These are great for doodling and color blocking your words. And again, these are honestly one of the smoothest gel pens I've used.

As an elementary school teacher, my students also love when I use them. I love the packaging of the pens, and they feel very nice to hold and write with. I also love that they are click pens, especially since the metallic pens I was used to as a kid always had caps I would loose. Three of the colors I received do not work very well, which you can see in one of the pictures I posted. I have shaken them and tried getting them started so many times and the color just won’t come out consistently. The darker colors seem to be better quality and smoother to write with. I now want tons of colors like my flair pens!

This pen set is wonderful because you get three metallic gen pens at the same time - gold, silver, and rose gold. They write really smoothly and easily, typical of the Paper Mate brand. I noticed that two of the pens didn't have the normal glue glob at the end which ensures that ink doesn't dry faster than normal. I normally use a Signo gold pen for my crafting machine and I still prefer the Signo pen compared to the Paper Mate gold pen for color and smoothness. Of note, the Paper Mate gold pen fits nicely in my crafting machine universal pen holder. My favorite of the three pens is the silver.

Some colors are more vibrant than others on the black. This will be awesome for labeling artwork on different colors of construction paper (especially black). They have a nice feel to them, sturdy and firm. I wish they were a little easier to see on white paper and I wish the packaging came with a black option of ink. It took a few minutes of scribbling to get the ink going but that could be because they were shipped and sitting in my mailbox outside in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kimmy8435_8428 from New Paper Mate Pens🩷 I have been so excited for these pens as ive seen theyre new. the metallic is genuinely so pretty when you write. and the quality of the ink is actually impressive. when holding the pen it feels nice and slick and writes so smooth! i even tested on darker paper and the flash is making it look lighter. in person it actually is incredible how much it shows in comparison to the white. yes the white will be easier to see- but on dark it shows up extremely well and the metallic is so pretty. i would 100% purchase these. im satisfied

Overall, they worked well and were comfortable to hold, which will make long writing sessions easy on the hands. The metallic colors added a nice touch, but not all of them showed up well on dark backgrounds. Additionally, I noticed that some colors didn’t write as smoothly as others. Despite these minor issues, they’re still a fun and useful addition to my pen collection!

Rated 4 out of 5 by heatherj136_8342 from Pretty Metallic Gel Pens These pens are beautifully designed with a sleek shimmery case and textured hold. I really like the way they look. The ink is shimmery and does show up on both light and dark paper as you can see in the photo. However, because they are gel, they sometimes get backed up and need to scribble a bit before you start writing. I also tried using them for accents in a coloring book after using alcohol markers and it made pretty gold stars that stood out against a dark blue marker. Overall, nice metallic pens!
