Solid pen
This is a great ballpoint pen. It is a clicker pen, and the pen is covered in a textured material which helps in gripping. It also let's you readily grip of your hands are not dry, or you are wearing gloves (like in a lab setting). The ink resists water well, and the line thickness is on the thicker side of ballpoint pens, but not so thick that you are forced to write big. The blue color is nice. There is some resistance when you put the ball to paper, but this is not so much to make it difficult to write, rather ir makes my handwriting better. As a bonus, it is made partially of recycled material.

Great Ballpoint pens
I received the Paper Mate FlexGrip Ultra Recycled Retractable Ballpoint Pen. The color pen I received is blue. And the size is 0.8 mm fine. The pen is very lightweight and easy to hold. The pen barrel feels solid and not cheap. These pens have a not to thick textured rubber grip around them. The grip makes using the pen easier on your fingers. These pens write very smooth. I did not notice any bleeding or smudging of the ink when I used it. The blue color is nice and vibrant. This pen is retractable so you don't have to worry about losing a cover. The push button is very easy to use. The pen also has a nice pocket clip. The clip is thick enough to stay wherever you place it. Great pen for everyday use.

Scratchy, with inconsistent ink flow
Unfortunately this pen was a no for me. While the actual plastic of the pen was smooth, the finishing on it was rough - the ridges had jagged edges that were noticable when using the pen for more than few minutes, and the place where the metal tip met the plastic barrel were not aligned, leaving a sharp edge there. Additionally, the ink flow on this pen was extremely inconsistent leaving lighter areas on upstrokes unless the pen was held almost completely perpendicular to the writing surface.

Earth friendly!
Paper Mate is a brand I trust and know for great products for home and on the office. The FlexGrip Ultra Recycled Retractable Ballpoint Pen is one of those pens that’s great and functions as needed. Also there is an added perk which is the recycled material which feels nice and seems to hold up nice. I would say the grip works but could be more high on the bottoms of the pen. Overall works as needed and would recommend to friends and family. Thanks PaperMate!

Good overall pen
This pen is an overall good pen that is a pen that stands the test of time. It is perfect to have in bulk for areas such as offices or businesses. As for an at home pen, they would be ok to keep around as a sturdy go to pen if your favorites are not nearby, but to me I like fancier pens when I write and use pens at home. So overall it is a good sturdy and true to the test of time pen but for the person that wants a fancier pen, this is not it.

Great pen!
I really like this pen alot. I homeschool and use different colored pens for different things. It has a grip on the bottom by the point, so it doesn't slip when you hold it. I was disappointed because I ordered a 12 pack and only got one. However, this pen writes dark, without having to push hard, and you click it on the back for the point to come out. No caps to worry about losing. If I need more blue ink pens, I would get it again.

Good pen
The Paper Mate FlexGrip Ultra Recycled Retractable Blue Ballpoint Pen in 0.8mm Fine writing has a very long name for a simple, average pen. Pros: I like the size of the 0.8mm fine marks from the pen and it writes smoothly. Cons: To me, there was nothing that really stood out or made it special from any other ballpoint pen. It’s a good ink pen for everyday use but it’s just like any other ink pen I may grab to use.

Smooth
This pen is awesome. I am picky when it comes to what I use to write with. This pen does not disappoint. It glides smoothly on to my paper and does not skip or leak out ink. It has a nice grip on it as well so it does not hurt my fingers to write with it for long periods. I like how it is the retractable push button pens. I am satisfied with this pen and will be making a future purchase
