Finally - a pencil that doesn't shred!
These pencils are great quality! I got them for my son to keep as backups to his mechanical pencils. I didn't have high expectations as I have been burned before by wooden pencils. You know how it goes... the lead breaks easily, so you go to sharpen them, and the wood shreds like pulled pork, in turn making the lead inside unstable to where it breaks even further up the pencil. However, the first time my son had to sharpen one of these pencils, it came out just as smooth as when we first opened the package, and the lead writes smoothly and doesn't crumble under normal pressure. This is a great, sturdy pencil that I wish we'd tried years ago!

Great working pencils
I received the Papermate Everstrong yellow woodcase pencils. There are 24 pencils in the pack that I received. These pencils are #2 lead. The pencil fits very nicely in your fingers. I did feel the pencil was a bit heavy but nothing to extreme. The pencil lead glides nicely on paper. I felt the pencil lasted about the same as others. The pencil has a nice eraser on the end of it. The eraser works as it should. The pencil sharpens very well. I had no problems with it breaking when sharpening. The lead is strong and it takes a bit of pressure to make it break. I love that the pencils came all sharpened. These are good pencils anyone I feel would love to use.

Strong and durable
I’m always using mechanical pencils because all the regular wood pencils I’ve used have a soft lead and always tend to break easily. The Papermate wood everstrong pencils have definitely made me change my mind. The lead in these pencils are super strong and I didn’t have to continually keep sharpening. In my line of work having a great pencil and pen are the highlights of my day. May sound odd but they seemed to make my handwriting much better. I will definitely be purchasing more for myself and when I’m doing back to school shopping for the kids.

Great pencils!
I got these pencils because I homeschool (have for years) and I have kids in college. As far as I see, you can never have enough pencils. I really like them. They are good, hearty pencils. They feel very strong in my hand and are hard to break when I write. I like my pencils to write dark, these pencils do that. The eraser is good and so far doesn't smear when I use it. I would get them again, if the need arose. I would recommend them to anyone who likes writing with pencils, especially those with kids.

Perfect basic pencil
With two kids doing at-home learning and one person working from home, we go through pencils like they are going out of style. A pencil that is strong enough to hold up to our everyday use, sharpens up well, and has a decent eraser is harder to come by than you might think! We loved these pencils, and their initial sharpness was a nice side benefit. The only downside we found was that the erasers tended to break in half during vigorous use. In general, we were big fans of these pencils!

Another good paper mate product
Our granddaughter in kindergarten and her mom live with us. So keeping pencils is a battle. She is either chewing on them r breaking them in two or pushing so hard the lead breaks. So when I saw these were supposed to be stronger I ordered them. They come pre sharpened and I used one . . I purposely pressed down as hard as I covid to see if the lead broke. It didn't however they are a shorter length on the sharpness than I usually use. My granddaughter unfortunately has put the
pencil sharpener somewhere I've not been able to find yet. The child loses things constantly. It may be at school and most everyone with little kids know. . I'm sure everyone has gotten some that seems like if you put a little pressure on the lead snaps. So far these are holding up well. If I can ever find the pencil sharpener I will try to update the review.

My girls love them
My kids are home schooled right now due to the pandemic so a good pencil is a must. These did not disappoint. They sharpen quickly dont break easily and you can do a lot of writing before you need to re-sharpen them. I love that they come pre-sharpen its a plus when you need a pencil because your kid misplaced theirs along with the sharpener. These are very durable fit good in your pencils. We are very satisfied with them.

Decent pencils
These pencils are truly break resistant. I have young children in elementary school who tend to write hard and so far no break downs from somebody's pencil breaking. The pencils sharpen will and also erase well. Anything you write with the pencils is nice and dark making it easier to see. I really like these pencils especially for beginning writers as it lessons the frustrations with that. I will definitely use again.
