Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Paper Mate never disappoints! These pencils are genius. My first grader has such difficulty holding regular pencils properly and the design and shape help him properly hold a pencil. Which in turn have greatly improved his writing. He also likes being able to use a mechanical pencil, since these have thicker lead it doesn't break as easily. These are extremely cool and the fun colors just add fun to them. I highly recommend these!

I work with preschoolers and have littles of my own so I was drawn to the thick lead and easy grip. Little did I know, but I fell in love with them too. Smooth writing and they don’t hurt my hand. My favorite pencils! I’ve even recommended them to friends and family that have loved them too!

It helps the child hold and use a pencil a lot better then the standard one. The bright colors also make it that more more desirable for a child to use. These had tremendously helped my boys in their writing skills.

The bright colored barrels make them look very fun. I really liked that they came with extra lead and erasers. These are perfect for my kid's little hands and he loves using them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cool design I chose to try the PM HW Mech Pencil 5 CT to help my son understand how he needs to hold a pencil correctly. These pencils have worked out great with him being able to position the pencil in the way that it needs to. He is just learning and they are working great for him and his awkward hands.

Would definitely recommend getting these and giving them a try for any child or adult who needs some good mechanical pencils.

Not only are they fun colors, they fit nicely in their hand and smoothly glide across the paper. Love them and will continue to let them be used for the rest of my career.
