They have a nice grip on them and comfortable in your hand. This kit comes with 3 pencils, 3 back up erasers, and back up lead. I like that he can just buy lead too to refill if needed. Color options are good. They last a long time too before needing to refill.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and these make writing so much easier, they are a bit chunkier than the average mechanical pencil. they are easy to replace the lead and eraser, easy to dispense lead, and the grip is perfect. I love the way these feel in my hand and that my hand does not start cramping after writing for a bit. The lead is dark and does not break easily and my writing looks legible which is refreshing. Highly recommend!

The tip is a little too think to my liking, and, as a result, you have to be careful to make sure the inc completely dries out before you touch it. I’ll probably get finer tips next time.

To refill the eraser in a Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil (0.5mm, HB #2 lead), follow these steps:

-Gently pull out the used eraser from the top of the pencil.
-Insert a new eraser
-Take a replacement eraser and insert it into the opening at the top of the pencil where the old one was.
-Push the eraser in fully
-Press it down until it fits securely. It should be snug but still able to be twisted up when needed.

To secure the eraser after extending it, hold the eraser in place while you erase. This prevents it from retracting back into the pen during use.
