Description
Avoid broken leads while writing with Paper Mate Clearpoint Break-Resistant Mechanical Pencils! Clearpoint Mechanical Pencils feature break-resistant, spring-loaded tips that absorb shock to reduce lead breakage. The mechanical pencils are outfitted with a 4-sided textured grip, for comfort and control. The lead is HB #2, the standard for taking tests. Finally, a jumbo refillable eraser cleanly removes lead from the page.

My favorite mechanical pencil!
I wasn’t expecting much when I got this but it clearly said break-resistant so I decided to give it a fair chance. Having always had pencil lead break on me in the past I let my curiosity take over. I have to be honest, this is a great pencil! The lead didn’t break! I even passed it to my son who tends to write with a heavy hand and he didn’t break the lead either! We’re both very impressed. Not to mention the finger grip is a nice addition as well as the twist up eraser. Not to mention it comes with 2 pencils, 2 erasers and lead refills! Definitely our favorite mechanical pencils!

Great Pencils!
I have no complaints about the Paper Mate Clear Point Break Resistant #2 pencils. The lead is fairly soft so it writes smoothly and it is not brittle, making the lead break resistant. The 7mm width lead is thick enough to be easy to read. I've included a picture with a sample of what the writing looks like with these pencils. The eraser works well and does not leave any residue of lead or eraser on the paper. The design of the pen makes it comfortable to hold and to write with. I would recommend these pencils to my friends and family.

Heavy duty mechanical pencil
WONDERFUL mechanical pencil...heavy duty (reminds me of an "old school" #2 pencil! That thickness in the neck of the pencil and that firm when applying pressure to the paper. Love, love, love it.. as a bookkeeper, love having a heavy duty pencil when the lead doesn't break too easily (y'all know what I'm talking about), and then the eraser is like commercial eraser...smooth and doesn't tear up the paper. Easy to compute numbers and if mistake is made, easy to erase and write over without "tearing" or "marring" of the original.

Great quality product
I have been a fan of Paper Mate for years. I think they have outdone themselves when they made these mechanical pencils. I love the feel and the look of them. They remind me of an ink pen and has the feel of one too. I like fancy packaging with all its neat colors and graphics. I like that it came with two #2 - 0.7mm mechanical pencils, 6 replacement lead, and 2 erasers. My favorite feature is the tip of the mechanical pencils are break-resistant & shock absorbing. The performance is very good and precise. It is simply easy to load and has a comfortable grip. I would recommend it. They are great quality, durable pencils. I no longer worry about having a dull pencil anymore, no more looking for a pencil sharpener. It is top of the line product I love using.

quality pencils and not flimsy
These pencils are nice and sturdy. The erasers don't just fall out like other mechanical pencils, they are long so that you can twist the pencil and raise the eraser further after use. In other words, you won't run out of eraser quickly. The lead comes with the pencil and didn't break easily upon use. Even the pencil itself is incredibly sturdy and didn't flex during use. The pencils have grips for your fingers that are actually comfortable to hold and the overall design of the pencil is perfect for any writing need.

Great pencil
My grandkids use these pencils for school and have had no problems. The lead comes out easy for use, the eraser works, and it is easy to refill. Having 2 extra erasers is nice since erasers never seem to last for any pencil. The lead refill is great to have, it is sometimes hard to find just the lead to refill pencils. The grips make the pencil comfortable to hold and the colors are nice. The best thing about this pencil is the lead doesn't break the second you apply pressure to start writing.

Best item for school!
I was super excited to find these for my daughter, who prefers mechanical pencils over traditional ones. Whether doing schoolwork, drawing or taking notes, she almost always has one with her.
This set of two also comes with 2 extra erasers and a refill of lead with the two starter pencils, which is awesome.
The pencils themselves are lightweight, have a very comfortable grip and write super smooth. The lead is the best quality from mechanical pencils that I have ever used- super strong and durable, which was amazing. The clear point is genius, so you know when the lead is getting close to running out! I even love all the cor options, because I love my supploes to match!
If you are in the market for mechanical pencils, these are your best bet- all the frustrations typically associated with them are non- existent with these!

Mechanical pencil exceeds my expectations
At first, I thought this was just another average mechanical pencil, but I was wrong. I really liked how the lead held up during my writing. I usually write with a heavy hand and grasp the barrel of a pen or pencil tightly which leads to my hand feeling tired at the end of the day. The grip felt nice and comfortable in my hand. I felt like writing all of my Christmas cards in pencil because it was super easy to handle. I was also impressed with how effective the eraser performed. I have an 8th grader who was in need of some pencils for an art project and he used this set all last week. He said he liked the adjustable twist eraser and also liked that the lead in the pencil didn't break as easily as the other brands he had once owned. Overall we liked this brand of mechanical pencils and will definitely purchase them when the need arises.
