Clearpoint Mechanical Pencils feature break-resistant, spring-loaded tips that absorb shock to reduce lead breakage. The mechanical pencils are outfitted with a 4-sided textured grip, for comfort and control. The lead is HB #2, the standard for taking tests. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and sleek design! These pencils are amazing. They have a nice and sleek design that makes holding the pencil easier. It writes so smooth and I have yet to have an issue with the lead breaking off like I do with other brands. The extra eraser is incredibly helpful as I am homeschooling my kindergartener and he uses these for his assignments. A lot of erasing is done and he seems able to do it with ease. He can even twist the eraser part up by himself and that makes him feel so independent. They are a great quality pencil that I recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable pencil that will last!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lead and great eraser. I love mechanical pencils and use them every day. Usually, there are two issues with plastic body pencils like these: the eraser is much too small, and the leads frequently break. These PM pencils have erasers that are much thicker than normal ones, and they are extendable/retractable which are both huge improvements over traditional pencils. Also, I like to keep my lead about "two clicks" long, and have not had any lead breakage with these! Very happy that PM has solved my two pet peeves about mechanical pencils.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable to use, writes well I love these pencils! The lead is incredibly strong. I feel I am pretty heavy-handed and press pretty firmly when I write and this lead didn’t snap. The lead glides nicely on paper and the eraser is of good quality, and not one that smears or scratches your paper. I love that the pencils come pre-filled with lead and also have refills for when they’re needed and I also like that the eraser is twistable. Overall, great quality pencil that I will definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice mechanical pencil This pencil is comfortable to hold, the four sided grip is vey nice. The lead comes out easily with just a a click. If click too much and get too much lead out I could not find a way to shorten it. So I learned not to click too many times. It is easy to refill the lead and the eraser. The eraser easily erases unwanted print without leaving smudges. Just twist to get more of the eraser. I found I really liked this mechanical pencil And will use it frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It writes like a pen! Best mechanical pencil! It feel like you are writing with a pen. This pencil writes great regardless of the pressure you use. I find you usually have to be real light with mechanical pencils or the leads break. This one felt totally different. Super smooth and it feels like it glides across the paper. The eraser is fantastic. They are over an inch long, so they do plenty of erasing! Along with extra leads, you also get extra erasers. These are our new favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best pencils PaperMate has ever made! I recommend these pencil for everyone. It's resistant to breaking and my lead breaks a lot less frequently. The pencils are also comfortable to hold and don't make my hand hurt when I am doing homework or writing papers. I also like the fact that you push the lead from the top, and not on the sides. Please never top making them, and continue to make more colors like pink and blue in the .05mm size

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good pencil I love almost everything about this pencil. Strong led and I love that the eraser twist up and down. Its easy enough to load and It erases clean however although it has a gripper it seems to be more for looks as it does not provide any cushion. that is the only issue i have with this pencil is that the gripper is very hard and very thin making it seem as if it where just there for looks

The lead is nice and sturdy helps to make all your writings neat. The package is easy to open and comes with enough lead for both pencils. The quality of the pencils are wonderful and the affordability is great. Recommended to all my friends and family.
